Listening Walks at Artpark
Just as we see landscapes, we hear "soundscapes", the interweaving sounds of our environment. Come listen together on guided Listening Walks led by certified Deep Listening facilitator Cynthia Pegado and Artpark Musician in Residence Anthony Hyatt. Become more attuned to how you listen during collaborative explorations of our sonic environment along Artpark's stunning rim trails.
SUNSET LISTENING WALK (Sunday July 13)

Meet at: Artpark Fisherman's Parking Lot, upper park
Use Artpark's Portage Rd Entrance
Must be able to navigate a dirt & gravel park trail.
Upper Loop, Trail 7
We will stay on the trail, but please practice tick precautions.

LISTENING IN ONE PLACE: An Accessible Experience (Monday July 14)

Meet at: Flagpoles by Artpark Info Station/Restroom building, lower park

World Listening Day Happenings at Artpark
World Listening Day is a global event held annually on July 18th. Artpark premieres WNY's first celebration this year with drop-in activities and artist-led interactive workshops that encourage people of all ages to listen actively and eagerly! Participating artists include Artpark Musician in Residence Anthony Hyatt, Cynthia Pegado, Paula Sciuk, Tammy McGovern, Doug Tewksbury
LISTENING HAPPENINGS FESTIVAL AT ARTPARK (Friday July 18)

FREE, All ages welcome!
Celebrate World Listening Day at Artpark with free interactive activities led by an ensemble of five different artists, all guiding unique hands-on experiences. Create your own sonic adventures with small hand-held instruments and giant gongs; Experiment with Painting Sound; Learn to capture sound samples with special microphones and much more!
