Wine and Wheels 2024

Wine and Wheels 2024

Learn the basic techniques of the potter's wheel.

Throw your own cup, bowl, saucer, or whatever your heart and mind can dream up!

Let your creative juices flow as the vino flows.

(The result might just be a ceramic masterwork for the ages  … or a misshapen, abstract impressionistic “idea” of a cup. Either way, it’ll make for a good conversation piece on your mantle, right? ;-)

Evening includes:

  • 2 single-serve bottles of wine
  • 1 bottle of water
  • 1.5 hours of unlimited throwing on the wheel with a clay instructor
  • 2 best pieces of pottery to be glazed and fired, pottery to pick up in two weeks.

Participants will throw pottery on the wheel.

The pottery will be glazed and fired in a kiln and then must be picked up at Artpark: Thursday, August 29, 4-6PM

These events are 21 and over, and are limited to 10 participants each.

Tickets for the below dates are on sale now at the Artpark Box Office &  on ticketmaster.com. 21 of 31 sessions are sold out.

We use red clay, which looks beautiful but can stain light colored clothing, wearing old/dark clothing is recommended. We promise, you will have clay on you when you leave. Please dress with that in mind or bring an apron to wear.

This is a moderate activity level (we use kick wheels). Please wear sneakers or shoes with backs.

Please arrive at the clay studio (located at the top of the Amphitheater hill near the Information Center & upper Amphitheater gate and accessed through the Portage Rd. entrance) 10 minutes prior to your session.

Please watch for an email from Artpark with details of the event in the coming weeks.
