Artpark and Juno's Ark present 'The Fairy House Galapagos'
Step right up to the enchanting and wondrous 14th annual Artpark Fairy House Festival! This summer, immerse yourself in a celebration like no other, where fairies, children, and artists unite to breathe life into Mother Nature's stunning yet delicate domain in the mystical Artpark.
Prepare to be dazzled by the spectacular Mother Nature and the thoughtful Father Time as they lead the charge at the Fairy House Festival. Together, with the might of 'The Imaginatas', they engage in a fierce battle against the steam-punk monstrosity known as the 'Tangler' trash machine. Witness the plight of the Serf Suit-Children, their creative spirits drained by mundane Excel Documents, endless To-Do Lists, and monotonous PowerPoint presentations, all orchestrated by the villainous mastermind, Sir Lord Doctor Professor Maximillion Betraius – The Man Who Sold the World – and his ruthless accomplice, CEO Gloria Spielnott, a devotee of organizational systems, management training, and team-building exercises.
The stakes are high! Join forces with the fairies and Father Time to liberate Mother Nature and rescue the children, whose vibrant Imaginatas have been converted into Dark Gloop fuel. This fuel powers Betraius's grand escape plan to a distant star system, leaving behind a desolate, uninhabitable planet. The future of Mother Nature and the fairies' magical realm hangs in the balance, and only your playful spirit, imagination, and joy can save the day!
This year's festival, under the visionary direction of international theater artist David Glass, is a part of the acclaimed Juno's Ark/Galapagos project. It has captivated audiences in Canada, the UK, Malaysia, Macau, and now at Artpark. This collaborative celebration brings together the extraordinary talents of the Jon Lehrer Dance Company, Sketchbook Theater, Artpark Bridges, and features stunning costumes and set pieces by Uta Bekaia. Local artists will also contribute their unique Fairy Houses to this vibrant tapestry.
Don't miss this chance to dive into a world of creativity, community, music, dance, and laughter. Join us at Artpark, and let your imagination soar – or risk being whisked away on another mundane team-building day by Gloria Spielnott and the BOOM Corporation. The choice is yours!
Story crafted by the imaginative minds of David Glass and David Pearl.

Costumes by Uta Bekaia
Uta Bekaia is a Georgian-born multimedia artist currently residing and working in New York and Tbilisi. After studying Industrial Design at Tbilisi Mtsire Academy, he debuted as an artist at AMA (Avant-Guard Fashion Assembly) with a sculptural performance. He creates performances and installations inhabited with wearable sculptures, exploring his historical-cultural background, genetic codes and cycles of the universe. Currently, he is a resident artist at ART OMI, New York, and in partnership with ERTI Gallery, Tbilisi. Inspired by ancient mythology, fairy tales, Italian Baroque, and Georgian Dada, Bekaia with his exuberant, sculptural costumes, reinvents and re-stages long lost, never-before-documented rituals. Believing in genetical transferability of communal memory, Bekaia attempts to re-connect with ancient knowledge and impregnate it with his own experiences and new meaning.
