Nusantara Arts
Artpark Emerald Grove
Nusantara Arts was born from the growth and success of the Buffalo Gamelan Club originally formed in 2016. Gamelan music from the island of Java in Indonesia is one of the oldest continuously played musical art forms in the world, potentially dating back to 230 AD. The mission of Nusantara Arts is “To invite our community to an expansive experience in music and art, sparking dialogue about inclusion and cooperation.”
A past highlight of Artpark seasons, to experience Nusantara Arts under the canopy of trees in Artpark’s Emerald Grove alongside the stunning Niagara River Gorge is an enjoyable and relaxing experience.
Carry-in chairs or blankets are welcome. Refreshments will be available.
This program is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by Arts Services Inc.”
