Artpark Box Office Manager – Full Time / Year-Round Position

Job Overview:
This year-round Box Office Manager position is responsible for the daily operation of the Box Office and execution of ticketing and parking lot toll operations.

 

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Builds and manages performances / events in Ticketmaster in adherence with details as provided by Artpark management, external promoters, and artist representatives. Communicates ticketing information with Artpark team, board, and stakeholders.
     
  • Serves as Artpark’s primary point of contact with Ticketmaster account and service reps and ensures all ticketing matters are handled in a timely and accurate manner.
     
  • Generates regular reports for Artpark management
     
  • Schedules and oversees Box Office Tellers during open hours, and parking lot toll workers on event days.
     
  • Opens and/or closes ticket windows as required 
     
  • Maintains accurate reporting of daily cash received and tickets sold from Box Office Tellers and cash from Parking Lot Toll Takers on event days
     
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and responds promptly to customer needs
     
  • Manages the Box Office email inbox and responds to higher level inquiries via phone
     
  • Able to work independently and handle most box office questions without assistance 
     
  • Manages tour and other Will Call on event days 
     
  • Process account credit and voucher/gift certificate redemption transactions
     
  • Set up of two box offices and tolls on event nights
     
  • Support sponsor & VIP relations
     
  • Assist in payments and/or document distribution and collection for Artpark camps and other educational initiatives
     
  • On-site support for other Artpark events across multiple venues and series

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years experience with supervisory / staff management in Box office or guest services. Experience with Ticketmaster is required.
     
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices; ability to coordinate staff
     
  • Experience with accounting and finance procedures including record keeping and reconciliation
     
  • Ability to input and analyze data
     
  • Good problem-solving skills and organizational ability
     
  • Good customer service skills and sense of public relations

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have solid knowledge of digital data management and information technologies and working knowledge of Excel. Experience in computerized ticket systems preferred. Experience with Ticketmaster ticketing system is required.

Ability to work flexible hours including daytime, evening, and weekends, as needed.
