New Advanced Art Camp now offered
(Lewiston, NY). Artpark will present three sessions of its innovative Art Camp (July 11-15, July 18-22, August 1-5; $250) and introduces the new Advanced Art Camp (August 8-12; $250) for high school students. Registration is now open for all sessions of Artpark’s Summer Camps.
Artpark’s Art Camp provides children the opportunity to enhance their creativity, imagination and technique in a stimulating summertime environment. Coordinated by Artpark’s Visual Arts & Family Programs Manager Tanis Winslow, this creative camp integrates hands-on activities in painting, drawing and clay work with exciting projects in printmaking, sculpting, and fashion design. Family and friends will be invited to a Camper Art Show on the final day of the program, to view camper masterpieces and then take their works home for display.
Artpark is pleased to launch the new Advanced Art Camp for High School aged artists who have a serious interest in Art and creating a Fine Art Portfolio. All interested campers will leave with a complete portfolio for college submission and art pieces to jump start their Advanced Placement Art Portfolio if the program is available at their school. Ceramics, drawing, painting, fashion design, and concept architecture will be some of the workshops covered in the Camp.
Artpark Art Camp is limited to children ages 9-14. High School art students age 15-17 will be eligible for Advanced Art Camp. All Camps take place Monday thru Friday from 9am to 4pm, and enrollment is limited as one-on-one instruction is emphasized. Full payment is due upon registration. Lewiston residents receive 10% off camp fees!
Artpark also offers a Theater Camp themed with Artpark’s upcoming production of “Fame-The Musical” and the highly successful Rock Camp for young aspiring musicians. Call today for an informational brochure and registration form: Artpark Box Office at (716) 754-4375 or go online to www.artpark.net.
