Artpark Presentation For Lewiston Police Support

Artpark Board Recognizes Police Efforts

(Lewiston, NY)   Artpark's annual Artpark & Company Board meeting on Wednesday October 28 at the Niagara Falls Country Club featured highlights from the exciting 35th Anniversary Season.  A summary of the summer's popular free ‘First Niagara presents Tuesday in the Park' concerts was highlighted by a special presentation to the Lewiston Police. Artpark President George Osborne presented a donation of $6,000 to the Lewiston Police Department in recognition of their efforts in traffic control during the busy ‘Tuesday' concerts. Lewiston Town Supervisor Fred Newlin, the Town of Lewiston Police Commissioner, accepted the check on behalf of the Police Department.

"The Lewiston Police Department provides an important service to Artpark patrons and Village and Town residents on Tuesday evenings, helping keep out streets safe and assisting with moving the traffic out of the venue in an orderly manner.  We are pleased to make this contribution to help defray the extra costs of this service." said Artpark's President George Osborne

Over 158,000 people attended Artpark's nineteen free ‘Tuesday in the Park' and ‘Wednesdays on the Gorge' concerts during the 2009 Anniversary Season.  The upcoming Artpark season will be announced in May 2010.
