The Trews Takeover Artpark!
"Wednesdays on the Gorge" Series Continues July 29!
(Lewiston, NY) Are you "Tired of Waiting" for The Trews (www.thetrewsmusic.com) to play a free show at Artpark? Well the wait is over; The Trews are headlining "Wednesdays on the Gorge" concert series on July 29! Canadian rock band from Nova Scotia, The Trews, have been nominated for four Juno Awards. Brothers Colin and John McDonald formed a rock band in 1995 and slowly the other band members joined forces to form The Trews. With the release of their first full-length album House of Ill Fame in 2003, The Trews churned out hit after hit with singles like "Every Inambition," "Not Ready to Go," and "Tired of Waiting." "Not Ready to Go" was their first number one hit on Canadian radio and was the most played rock song in the country in 2004.
Presented by HSBC Bank and HSBC Mortgage Corporation, all of the "Wednesdays on the Gorge" events begin at 6:30pm and include hands-on art workshops for children beginning at 5:30 pm. The Jeremy Hoyle Band will serve as the evening's opening act.
The July 29th event with The Trews is sponsored by the Whirlpool Jeatboat Tours.
"Wednesdays on the Gorge" is also supported by, Certo Brothers Distributing Company, Chiampou, Travis, Besaw & Kershner, Harris Beach, Modern Corporation, the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission, Time Warner Cable, Pepsi, Generations Music, and the Talking Phone Book.
Artpark's Outdoor Amphitheater opens to the public at 4pm on event nights, and can be accessed via the Upper Park's Portage Road entrance off of Center Street or through South 4th Street nearest the Mainstage Theater. Carry-ins (food and beverages) are prohibited at all of Artpark's free concert events while on-site parking is available; NY State $10 Parking fee.
