Artpark Brings You the Best of the Blues!
Tinsley Ellis headlines "Wednesdays on the Gorge" July 22
(Lewiston, NY) The second week of the "Wednesdays on the Gorge" free outdoor concert series is featuring only the best of blues on July 22 at Artpark. Headlining the mini-blues festival, guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Tinsley Ellis ( http://www.tinsleyellis.com/ ) ranks among the top blues musicians today. Rolling Stone said, "Feral blues guitar and non-stop gigging has sharpened his six-string to a razor's edge. He achieves pyrotechnics that rival Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton." Born in Atlanta, Ellis became fascinated with blues music at a young age. When B.B. King gave him a broken string at one of his mesmerizing performances, Ellis knew he had to become a blues guitarist.
Presented by HSBC Bank and HSBC Mortgage Corporation, all of the "Wednesdays on the Gorge" events begin at 6:30pm and include hands-on art workshops for children beginning at 5:30 pm. The Nighthawks will serve as the evening's opening act.
"Wednesdays on the Gorge" is also supported by, Certo Brothers Distributing Company, Chiampou, Travis, Besaw & Kershner, Harris Beach, Modern Corporation, the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission, Time Warner Cable, Pepsi, Generations Music, and the Talking Phone Book.
