(Lewiston, NY)  Nature prints, animal rubbings, geology-focused mobiles, and the always-popular creation of robots from recyclable materials will be the central, themed artistic endeavors of Artpark's "Family Weekends" free program on July 26-27

Also featured on Saturday during "Enviro Art" will be a "Then and Now" fossil display courtesy of the Niagara Region Interpretive Programs Office of New York State Parks.  The presentation will compare ancient fossils with modern day equivalents and even provide for the opportunity to take a guided hike along Artpark's Fisherman's Trail with a state park naturalist.

All "Family Weekends" take place on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4pm in Artpark's Outdoor Amphitheater, and also include an array of traditional art endeavors like clay work, face-painting, drawing and dress-up.

Artpark's "Family Weekends" also includes a "Tot Spot," consisting of a selection of simplified art happenings, a sandbox, fun with earthmovers and other goings-on for children ages two through five.

Artpark's family and children's programming is made possible in part by the generous support of the Modern Corporation, the Town of Lewiston and the Niagara County Legislature.
