ARTPARK theater academy

2018 dates and production to be announced!

In 2017, Artpark introduced a new 4 week intensive Broadway Jr. program that consisted of  workshops in all aspects of musical theatre and culminated in a full production of Fiddler on the Roof Jr. in the Mainstage Theater for a real audience! 

Academy students have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves into their own theater community while gaining valuable experience with a first-hand taste of performing at a professional venue.  Workshops include acting, dancing, vocals, set design, lighting design, costumes, and promotions.

Special thanks to our extraordinary guest instructors for participating in the 2017 Academy: Jon Lehrer, Mitchell Jarvis, Oleg Kheyfets, Gregg Goldston, Samantha Massell and Phil Wackerfuss.

summer solstice celebration

2018 info to be announced! 

Heralding the arrival of summer, this annual event includes: 

  • Fairy House Festival featuring artist and community-made fairy houses
     
  • A creative collection of art activities, face painting, potion-making and more.
     
  • Live music, dance and spoken-word peformances.

Free Family movie nights

2018 dates and features to be announced!

An Artpark summer tradition for families! This annual series presents 2 family-favorites on the Jumbotron screen in the Outdoor Amphitheater, overlooking the Niagara River Gorge. Grab the family, your chairs & blankets, and enjoy a night under the stars.

Free family saturdays

Saturdays in July, Noon-4pm

Families enjoy creative hands-on discovery in a scenic setting with live performances by NURT (Niagara University Repertory Theatre). Activities include – paint space, pottery, face paint, costume closet and weekly, themed workshops.
