Argentine Tango is a partner dance that developed over the last century in Argentina's capital city, Buenos Aires. It is very different from the Tango in International and American ballroom dancing. Argentine Tango is an interpretive, improvisational social dance that allows the dancers to develop a deep connection between themselves, the music, and the environment in which they are dancing. NO partner needed. NO dance experience required. NO age limitations applied.

Artpark's Mainstage Theater Terrace lights up with a variety of dance and live music events. Tickets for each event can be purchased at the gate. Light concessions, beer and wine (21+) will be available for purchase.

Original Alternative Music with Dream Collective

As live performers Dream Collective have played in a wide array of settings. From Buffalo’s Music is Art Festival, The Irish Classical Theater, to three times opening for British folk-rock legends Strawbs. Then on to a late night national television appearance on WKBW’s syndicated TV show ‘Off Beat Cinema’. Dream Collective have performed in venues large, and small, and everything in between. They have currently released their 4th recording 'Machines of Love and War' (2017). Dream Collective’s CD catalogue is currently internationally distributed through Witchwood Records in the UK.

Tiffany DuMouchelle will be performing "Love Songs" by Ana Sokolovic.

Soprano, Tiffany Du Mouchelle is praised for her musical versatility, an electric stage presence and exceptional dramatic sensibilities. Most recognized for her fearlessness in exploring new and challenging repertoire, she ushers the voice into new realms of expressivity, including a vast array of musical styles and languages, featuring 35 different languages (including: Arabic, Japanese, Miani, Russian, and Swedish), and exploring the genres of classical, world, contemporary, cabaret, and theatrical works.

Buffalo Tango Orkestra was formed by Moshe Shulman in summer 2012 after his return from Buenos Aires, Argentina, to perform Argentine tango and other styles of tango such as “Nuevo” and “European”. Since its first performance in August 2012 at the Elmwood Arts Festival, the orchestra appeared at Smith Opera House in Geneva, NY; Rochester, NY; Toronto, Canada and of course in Buffalo, NY.

Zane Merritt- “Classical Apocalypse”

Guitarist Zane Merritt brings his fiery interpretive style and affable stage presence to works old and new. Set for the program are works by Bach, Wuorinen, Britten, and Zane.

Zane Merritt, born in Dubuque, IA, has a PhD in music composition from the University at Buffalo and a Masters in guitar performance from Butler University. He has performed his own music and that of his peers as far as Japan. Recent endeavors include a portrait concert in Toronto last year by Piano Moderna, and a performance with the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra in 2014. He has performed with the Eastman based Switch~ Ensemble, premiering Jason Thorpe Buchanan's "Hunger" opera at the DiMenna center in 2012 and has premiered numerous solo guitar works by composers such as Nathan Heidelberger, Megan Grace Beugger, and Meredith Gilna. He is also a visual artist and avid professional wrestling fan.
