Summer Solstice Celebration

with the 7th annual Fairy House Festival

featuring Lehrer Dance

From noon to midnight, Artpark will transform its grounds into a Summer Solstice Festival! The Summer Solstice heralds the beginning of summer, and represents a time of fulfillment. From New Year's resolutions to the big goals in your life, the Solstice is a time to celebrate the achievements you've made, and acknowledgements for the future.



Fairy House Festival

Featuring houses designed and constructed by both professional and non-professional artists of all ages, community groups, schools, families and individuals.

Bring your own, build or discover small 'fairy dwellings' throughout the Artpark woods. Participate in craft activities, potion making and more (Noon-4:00pm).

Summer Solstice Celebration

Watch Artpark transform into a Summer Solstice Festival

with a performances by Slyboots Circus, spoken word artists, dancers, Buffalo Aerial Dance, costumes by Uta Bekaia,and more.

The Summer Solstice Celebration is directed by Jon Lehrer and Kate LoConti, Western New York's most respected and innovative artists. 


Lehrer Dance

Lehrer Dance, Buffalo's very own professional & international touring dance company, will keep the audience on the edge of their seats in this special performance on the Gene Davis Niagara 1979  "painted parking lot" at 7pm. Their world-renowned repertoire will shine, embodying their trademark fusion of athleticism, artistry, and accessibility.

Summer Solstice Celebration

After party & Moon Dance


Immediately following the Lehrer Dance performance, an after party with a performances by Slyboots Circus and Pyromancy with libations on the Mainstage Theater Terrace.

Then for the especially devoted Solstice fans still seeking more, join us for a latern-led moon dance into the woods (11:30pm-midnight).

$20 Day Pass (Admission to Festival, Lehrer Dance performance and all events, good Noon-midnight)

All ticket prices include parking

*Children 3 and under free admission for Festival and Summer Solstice Celebration only, all ages require a ticket for the Mainstage Theater performance

Fairy House Registration

Artpark is inviting schools, organizations, families, groups and artists to create fairy houses to be featured in the Fairy House Tour at the Festival. Prizes will be given to the top 3 houses, selected by Artpark. One grand prize of a $300 Artpark Gift Certificate, one second place prize of a $200 Artpark Gift Certificate, and one third place prize of a $100 Artpark Gift Certificate will be awarded at 3pm during the Festival.

Registration deadline is May 15.
