Park Hours

Artpark, a New York State Park, is open year-round. Scheduled events at the park take place from May to September.

 

Box Office

The Artpark Box Office is open Monday-Friday from 10am to 4pm from May thru September. From October to April, the Artpark Box Office is located within Artpark's administrative offices, adjacent to the Mainstage Theater. During this time, the Box Office is open from 10am to 4pm, Monday thru Thursday, and 10am-1pm on Fridays. By phone: (716) 754-4375.

 

Handicap Access

Artpark's Mainstage Theater and Outdoor Amphitheater are both accessible to handicapped patrons. There are designated parking spaces available in Artpark's Upper (via Portage Road) and Lower (via South Fourth Street) Lots for disabled patrons.

Picnics

Artpark provides several sheltered and unsheltered designated areas that are ideal for picnicking. Picnics are allowed within the park at any time, but must be contained to areas outside of the Outdoor Amphitheater on afternoons of scheduled outdoor concerts.

 

*With regards to Mainstage Theater events, picnics may accompany concertgoers with lawn seats to Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra performances ONLY.

 

Historical Sites

There are several sites of historical and cultural significance located throughout Artpark, including the original site of the Portage, a Hopewell Indian Burial Mound and remnants of the Oak Hill Mansion. Tours of the parks geological and historic sites, and nature trails are periodically provided by the New York State Interpretive Programs Office. For info, call (716) 745-7848.

 

Fishing

Pets

Household pets are allowed in the park on leashes (that must not be longer than six feet). They are not allowed in buildings, on improved walkways, or within the Outdoor Amphitheater area during scheduled outdoor concerts.

 

Other Forms of Recreation

Walking, jogging and bicycling are encouraged throughout the park, although bicycling is discouraged during outdoor concert events for the convenience and safety of patrons.
