RANDALL KRAMER is the founder and Artistic/Executive Director of MusicalFare Theatre. Under his leadership, MusicalFare Theatre has become a regional center for world and area premiere musicals and a leading musical theatre company in the Northeast. He has directed many of their critically acclaimed productions, including Sweeney Todd, Urinetown, Tick, Tick...BOOM!, Wings, Avenue X, and the world premieres of Dancing in the Dark, Change Partners, In Love with Angel, A Rainbow Journey, and Victory: The Father Baker Story. A seven-time Artvoice Theatre Award winner for best director of a musical and the 2005 Career Achievement recipient, he directed last year's production of AIDA at Artpark. He has also directed Bat Boy and Dancing in the Dark at Studio Arena Theatre and the Dancing in the Dark Off-Broadway workshop at Lamb's Theatre in New York City. Under his leadership, MusicalFare has created over 110 productions and entertained over 350,000 people. In 2003, Mr. Kramer compiled the book and wrote the music and lyrics for the award winning production of Stories of Life at MusicalFare. He has also written the book, music and lyrics for Renewing Wright: the story of Frank Lloyd Wright and Darwin D. Martin, and wrote the music and co-wrote the lyrics for Victory. He is a member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers (SSDC), a panelist for the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), and a member of Amherst's Arts & Culture in Public Places Board. |
