What may I bring to the concert?

Where is parking located and what time do gates open?

Ample parking is available on the grounds of Artpark. It is advised to park in Artpark's Lower Lots (via South Fourth Street) for Mainstage performances. Gates to theater open one hour prior to the show.

 

Artpark's Outdoor Amphitheater opens to the public at 2pm on event nights, and can be accessed via the Upper Park's Portage Road entrance off of Center Street or through South Fourth Street nearest the Mainstage Theater.

 

Artpark's Upper and Lower Lots both feature designated parking spaces for disabled patrons. Since these spots are limited, it is advised that patrons requiring these amenities arrive early.

 

There is a $6 NYS Park parking fee during scheduled events.

 

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets are available at the Artpark Box Office (located in Artpark's Administrative Offices from September to May), all Tickets.com outlets (for a list of locations call the box office at 716.754.4375, Tickets.com by phone at 1.888.223.6000, or online at tickets.com.

 

Where is Will Call?

Will Call is located at Artpark's Box Office at the Mainstage Theater ONLY. Please bring the original credit card used to purchase the tickets and a valid ID.

 

Are there Group Sales available for concerts?

Groups of 20 or more save 20% on all Artpark Mainstage events (excluding headliner concerts). For more information on group rates, please click here or call 716.754.4375.

 

What happens if it rains?

All indoor and outdoor shows will go on rain or shine. No refunds (if applicable) will be given in the event of rain.

 

What concessions are available at Artpark?

Artpark provides varied concession services at all events.

 

Items provided at outdoor concerts include pizza, hamburgers, french fries, hot dogs, desserts and beverages. Typical fare offered at Mainstage events are snacks such as pretzels, chips, while a wide range of drinks are also for sale.

 

Beer and wine are normally sold at all events (for pop/rock concerts everyone will be proofed so be sure to bring your ID).

 

Are children admitted free to all events?

All children, regardless of age, must present a ticket to enter the Mainstage Theater.

 

Are the video screens always used during outdoor concerts?

The video screens provide an incredible enhancement to the outdoor concert experience, and are presented at all Tuesday night events, and select Wednesday evening performances.

 

How do I get to meet the artist?

The ONLY instances that backstage passes are issued for Artpark performances are when they are awarded through promotional contests and events. Backstage passes ARE NOT for sale.

 

Can I bring pets to Artpark?

Household pets are allowed in the park on leashes (that must not be longer than six feet). They are not allowed in buildings, on improved walkways, or within the Outdoor Amphitheater area during scheduled outdoor concerts.

How can I (or my company) become a sponsor of Artpark?

I am a visual artist who has previously displayed work at Artpark. How may I obtain a past catalog?

When available, past Artpark visual arts catalogs can be obtained for a standard rate of $50 apiece. Shipping and handling to any location within the continental United States is included in this fee.

PARK POINTERS

• Artpark, a New York State Park, is open year-round. Scheduled events at the park take place from May to September.


• Artpark's free outdoor concerts take place at the venue's Outdoor Amphitheater while the park's Mainstage Theater is the sit of musical, big band and BPO performances as well as high school graduations and dance recitals.


• Outdoor Amphitheater opens at 2pm on concert days.


• Gates open 1 hour prior to MOST Mainstage Theater events. Artpark's art gallery opens simultaneously.


• We do not make public announcements during any performance.


• Beer and wine are sold at most park events (excluding family performances). Picture ID required for all ages.


• Tailgating is prohibited prior to any Artpark event.


• All children, regardless of age, must present a ticket to enter the Mainstage Theater.


• Camping on NYS Park Grounds is prohibited. Go to www.northofthefalls.com for information about local campgrounds.


• Fishing, walking, jogging and bicycling are encouraged throughout the park, although bicycling is discouraged during outdoor concert events for the convenience and safety of patrons.


• Artpark provides several sheltered and unsheltered designated areas that are ideal for picnicking. Picnics are allowed within the park at any time, but must be contained to areas outside of the Outdoor Amphitheater on afternoons of scheduled outdoor concerts.


• There are several sites of historical and cultural significance located throughout Artpark, including the original site of the Portage, a Hopewell Indian Burial Mound and remnants of the Oak Hill Mansion. Tours of the parks geological and historic sites, and nature trails are periodically provided by the New York State Interpretive Programs Office. For info, call 716.745.7848.
