Artpark is now offering 2 sessions of Theater Camp for Summer 2013!
Each performer will experience acting, singing, and dancing instructed by professional cast members of Artpark's summer production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "The Sound of Music." Their week will be spent intensively putting their own version of "The Sound of Music" together for a live performance of their own on Artpark's famous stage for an invited audience.
The campers will have the opportunity to develop self-confidence, motivation, good work habits, and an unparalleled introduction into musical theater. Campers will work with professional scenery and props from Artpark's production, and have their chance to create their own magical experience!
Space is limited for this camp, so please register early!
*Special BONUS, enrollment in the first session of Theater Camp also includes a ticket to the July 18 matinee performance of "The Sound of Music" and a talk back with the cast after the show!
Due to popular student demand, this session takes musical theater instruction to the next level! The camp will be instructed by professional cast members of Artpark's summer production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "The Sound of Music." Each performer will have the opportunity to take a more detailed approach to acting, singing, and dancing! This camp is for more experienced theater students only.
Campers will spend their week intensively working on auditioning, the rehearsal process, character development, and a live performance of their own hard work on the last day! Campers will have an opportunity to work with professional scenery and props from some of Artpark's past productions. The week will culminate in a 45 minute variety show performance of musical theater magic on the Artpark stage for an invited audience! Each camper will complete this camp with a deeper understanding of musical theater and will hopefully have the confidence to go get a lead role in their high school's musical productions the following year!
Space is limited for this camp, so please register early! Click here for a registration form.
