Utilizing the park's inspirational setting as their canvas, children explore the nuances of several artistic staples such as drawing, painting and ceramics, while also experiencing new, innovative art forms like textiles, printmaking and much, much more!
Campers will explore a variety of medias as they engage in this fun morning workshop. The fundamentals of drawing and painting will be a major focus as unique one of a kind works are created.
The possibilities with clay are endless as young artists discover new and exciting ways to manipulate this material. A day of throwing on the potter's wheel is a fun way to gain patience and get a bit messy. Campers will complete the week with a raku firing!
Emulating nature, campers will manufacture sculpture from everyday objects. Inspired by artist Tara Donovan.
Appropriate venues for this medium will be discussed as campers are lead through the techniques of street art by a professional graffiti artist.
Working together to create installation, campers will construct individual works that come together as a whole using textiles and mixed media.
Influenced by artist Claes Oldenburg, this workshop serves up a tasty treat!
Family and friends are invited to a Camper Art Show on the week's final day of camp at 3pm!
Camp takes place Monday thru Friday from 9am to 4pm. Enrollment for the week is $ 200. Camp enrollments are limited as one-on-one instruction is emphasized, and are suitable for children ages 9-14.
