EDGES Sculpture Competition

May 29 - September 15

Artpark is pleased to announce the first annual EDGES Outdoor Sculpture Competition, which will provide for up to eight works to be displayed throughout the park's beautiful setting from May 29, 2008 to September 15, 2008.

The competition will be juried by Robert L. Wood, Professor of Design, and Head of the Ceramics Program at Buffalo State College. Works will be selected by the juror and approved by a selection committee composed of Artpark's visual arts staff and park manager.

With works now installed, the juror has selected Lawrence Kinney's piece - "Spalted Device" - to be the recipient of the competition's Grand Prize. The sculpture is located adjacent to Artpark's Art Gallery near the venue's Mainstage Theater entrance.
